"Squidward's Sick Daze" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from Flavor 13. In this episode, Squidward fakes being sick to get out of work, but his agony only begins when SpongeBob arrives to intendance for him.

Synopsis
Squidward wakes upwards after having a nightmare from working at the Krusty Krab, with the customers yelling at him, SpongeBob annoying him, and Mr. Krabs forcing him to clean everything up. He then gets distressing when he thinks about his unfinished painting, his symphony, and his fresh strudel, which Patrick gobbles up. Squidward and then ultimately decides that instead of going to work, he will stay home and "swoop into an ocean of Squidward."
He then calls Mr. Krabs and lies near being sick, but the latter is not fooled. He then goes over to Squidward'south house and has SpongeBob take care of him until he is better, much to Squidward'due south dismay. Squidward tries to relax past finishing his painting, playing his clarinet, and eating his strudel, just SpongeBob constantly annoys him in an attempt to treat his disease.
SpongeBob later checks Squidward'south temperature, only to find that it is normal. SpongeBob then concludes that Squidward is amend now and they tin go back to work, but Squidward tricks SpongeBob by sticking the thermometer into the oven, making it pause. SpongeBob then gets a bunch of ice from the mountains to cool Squidward down.
SpongeBob and then realizes that he has been treating the symptoms instead of the illness. Squidward then claims he has "acute spotting sclorboritis," but he realizes it is actually existent when SpongeBob finds information technology in a book. When Squidward sees the way it is treated, he then says information technology is actually "Plerkington's syndrome," which SpongeBob "cures" by using leeches to suck Squidward's blood, jellyfish to electrocute Squidward, and using a rake to clear the leaves in Squidward'south lungs.
Mr. Krabs later calls to check on Squidward, to which the latter claims he is all improve and begs the onetime to let him come to work. However, thinking that Squidward still needs to acquire his lesson, Mr. Krabs pretends that Squidward is still very sick and tells SpongeBob to step up the cure. SpongeBob so seizes a sea urchin on Squidward.
The day after at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob describes all the things he did to Squidward and Mr. Krabs laughs. Squidward arrives in bandages, but takes them off to unveil Handsome Squidward, which Mr. Krabs faints at. Handsome Squidward says that SpongeBob cured his illnesses and goes to the register. Unfortunately, the customers begin yelling at Squidward for him to take their orders and SpongeBob begins annoying him once again. Squidward then loses his hair and begins revering back to his normal self and melts down, challenge he is going to be ill, as the episode ends.

General
- Despite this episode existence advertised first, its sister episode "Under the Small Summit" premiered before it during the original airing.
- The title is a pun on "sick days," a common phrase referring to an authorized work go out considering of an illness.
- The title menu is similar to "The Carte du jour," "Life Insurance" and "SpongeBob in RandomLand," equally they both have a similar background.

- Squidward making upwards names of illnesses and them turning out to be real is similar to when Mr. Krabs came up with the "hydrodynamic spatula, with port-and-starboard attachments, and a turbo drive" for a spatula for SpongeBob to buy and information technology ending up being real in "Help Wanted."
- Patrick'southward scream from "FarmerBob" is reused when he falls from the window.

Cultural references
- When Squidward was getting tortured past everyone in his dream, some drops of rain kept dropping down from a hole in the ceiling and landing on Squidward's forehead as he was slowly driving to insanity. - When SpongeBob starts carrying Squidward, the latter'southward wrinkles are missing for two frames.
- When Squidward is calling Mr. Krabs, in that location is a moment when Mr. Krabs' eyes look wonky.
- The shining reflection on Mr. Krabs' right arm is missing.
- When Patrick bites onto Squidward's strudel, his eyebrows disappear for a split 2d.
